Building Construction
About the Program
The program introduces students to each stage of the construction process. Students get opportunities to prepare for the construction Technology industry through various means, such as NCCER curriculum, simulated lab experiences, field trips, guest speakers, and hands-on activities. The goal of the BCCTC Building Construction Program is to equip students with the employability and technical skills required for employment and/or advanced training in the growing field of Construction Technology.
Employment in construction occupations is projected to grow 6 percent from 2021 to 2031, about as fast as the average for all occupations, and gain about 400,000 new jobs. (Occupational Outlook Handbook)
Instructor
Mr. Faulkner is a 1977 graduate of Cleveland High School. He has 38 years of experience in building construction. His hobbies and interests include hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
