For Parents

If you are looking for an opportunity for your high school junior or senior to get a head start on becoming college and career ready, you can find it at the BCCTC!

In our Career & Technical programs, students learn how core school subjects like math, science and writing are used in real-life and apply what they learn through hands-on training. BCCTC students can also gain real world experience through job shadowing, internships and cooperative education. Additionally, if enrolled in a program at the BCCTC, your student would have the opportunity to earn an industry-certified credential, which adds value to both your student's transcript for higher education purposes and your student's resume for the purpose of enhancing his or her ability to gain employment in today's job market.

Through state articulation agreements, some BCCTC programs provide students with the opportunity to be awarded college credit for courses completed in high school. For students who complete all the necessary requirements, this is a great way to get a head start on his/her postsecondary education, without any cost to the student!
